How often have you heard someone say, “If I could do it all over again, I’d take better care of my health“? Or have you heard folk say, “If I lose this illness, I should eat right and exercise more frequently”? Unfortunately, most of the people don’t receive that 2nd chance.

The majority don’t appreciate the significance of their health till it is failing. We think these foods make us feel better, but that is illusory. Each time you “indulge” in a pint of ice cream or an order of super size fries, you are putting your wellbeing in peril. If you lower your ingestion of the food that quickly raise your blood sugar, kill your grey matter cells, raise your cholesterol level and blood pressure, you may probably have a fitter and longer life.

So how does one lower your ingestion of these foods when they are often on sale in bright seductive packing at the corner store and freely available on nearly every street corner? Here are some ideas. Stash healthy nibbles in your vehicle so you will not be encouraged to order junk food on the way home from work. It’ll give you a natural energy boost and stop you from eating more calories that you can burn off. The more water you drink, the less hungry you may feel. If you now eat fries 5 times every week, start by reducing to 4 times every week. Try this for two weeks and then cut back your intake to 3 times a week.

Goals will let you see your progress and could be a source of inspiration. Be powerful when you desire food that’s not good for you. Take care of your well-being while you continue to have the opportunity.
